“As soon as I saw you, I knew an adventure was about to happen.”
– Winnie the Pooh
Holy smokes, what a week!
Last Friday, the 18th, this website went live, as well as the CaaHL Facebook page and Instagram site. It was also the evening of the 4th annual Special Kneads and Treats “Gala-q” (think of a barbecue with a gala breaking out) at Graystone Church in Loganville, GA. A great time was had by all and there was a good response to the “ride across the U.S.” display I’d setup in the lobby of the church. Many logistical questions, but most seemed to focus around the idea that, well, as one person put it, “ARE YOU CRAZY???” The business cards I’ve made up were included in each place setting’s packet so attendees will be able to access the info once the ride’s activities really start ramping up in late April.
On Wednesday evening The Exceptional Foundation of Atlanta held an action packed night of bingo – or as they call it “wingo”. I was asked to make a few comments on the ride. We also handed out a bunch of cards and had some good laughs throughout the evening.
I got a handful of training rides in, mostly around the Stone Mountain area.
